Journal Entry 43

25.06.2026

Trade talks went well with the government representatives from Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and Malaysia. Singapore’s prime minister hosted the event at the Istana. King Jonas, Prime Minister Sabine Keller, and I were graciously provided a private tour of the presidential palace, followed by a reception with the representatives and their support staff.

The King and our prime minister secured trade agreements with the representatives of their nations to purchase drones designed and manufactured in Dorstenland for commercial and military purposes.

After the meetings concluded, Jonas, Sabine, and I travelled directly to Changi Airport. As I took my seat on the King’s airplane, I could not stop smiling. Jonas nudged me several times before I finally spoke as to the reason for my happiness. I mentioned to Jonas that the trip was successful not only for Dorstenland itself but also for me personally.

The personal time Jonas and I spent together over the last several days felt different than in the past. We have always had a special bond, but our bond is moving into uncharted waters. I feel it. I know Jonas does as well. During our trip, Jonas seemed to be at my side instead of vice versa. The King was genuinely excited when he spoke about the future. Interestingly, he included me as part of his vision. The conversations about the future were not about my role as his private secretary, nor about Dorstenland. The visions he mentioned were about what we were going to do “together”.

My dearest journal, I wish you could respond to my writings. At present, I am not yet ready to speak with anyone about my new feelings regarding Jonas. However, I believe it is time for me to sit down with Fräulein Heng after she returns home from her holiday in Singapore. I know she will be able to help me process whatever has changed between the King and me.
